Year 10 have already received an introduction to DofE last year so due to limited assembly availability throughout the exam period, the whole year group will be emailed the Silver applications and invited to apply for 21 places as per the Bronze process. The Academy will accept direct applicant Silver candidates on merit. A reserve list will be established but no guarantees can be made as to whether we will be able to call forward any of those on this list.

The Silver Award will costs £300 (this includes all training, expeditions and loan equipment) and candidates will be required to commit to 12 Thursday evening training sessions from 3.30 – 5pm and three 3 day expeditions (a training, practice and the qualifier). This is in addition to their individual section commitments for 6 - 12months.
