• Ruskin's first World Book Day café opened today and wowwhat a success it has been. It was enjoyable, relaxing, and wonderfully informative. It was clear that everyone who came along had a great time. In the words of Roald Dahl, "If you are going to get anywhere in life, you have to read a lot of books." We might not have read them all today, but we certainly looked at them, talked about them and shared our favourites. We may even have enjoyed a biscuit or two along the way. We can't wait for the next one.

• As part of National Careers Week, yesterday our Year 10 students visited the Skills Summit at Grantham Meres Leisure Centre. Every student had the chance to meet local employers and education providers, exploring a wide range of future pathways. It was a fantastic event for them to ask questions, discover new opportunities and start thinking about their next steps beyond Year 11.
