Sixth Form Life
The Priory Ruskin Academy Sixth Form provides a challenging yet caring environment in which students can achieve their academic potential and successfully progress onto the next stage of their lives. Our excellent level 3 results are complemented by a range of extra-curricular activities and opportunities to ensure our students leave us as well rounded members of society, prepared to achieve their future ambitions and face the challenge of the ‘real world’.
Alongside their academic studies, students are able to broaden their life experiences in a number of ways: a range of sports clubs, Duke of Edinburgh, work experience, charity work, the National Citizenship Service and the Priory Baccalaureate. Students are encouraged to hold positions of responsibility and can become Senior Prefects and apply to be Head Boy/Girl in Year 13, as well as volunteering to help organise events, lead fundraising across the Academy and acting as mentors to younger students. Leading positions on the Academy council and Sixth Form committee system encourages students to participate and lead – instilling a sense of citizenship to prepare them for an increasingly complex world.
