On Friday 8th June Ruskin’s new Sixth Form Pavilion was officially opened by Geoff Barton, General Secretary of the Association of School and College Leaders. The stunning new building has classrooms, study rooms and a café style restaurant, providing essential additional space and facilities as the academy’s Sixth Form continues to expand and flourish.
Year 7 students have been busy this morning (11th May) litter picking along Rushcliffe Road and around the Manthorpe Convenience Store. The students, who are working towards their Baccalaureate, completed the work as part of the Community element of their Silver Ruskin Respect.
We are so excited about this! We have managed to secure a Joules seconds sale which will take place at the Academy on Thursday 10th May. Huge discounts will be available across loads of Joules stock. VIP tickets are selling out fast but a final few are available...and you can still buy advanced tickets at a discounted price.

The Priory Ruskin Academy has been recognised nationally for its excellent results in 2017 based on data from the Department of Education and Ofsted, analysed by SSAT (the Schools, Students and Teachers network). The Priory Ruskin Academy was found to be among the best performing secondary schools in the country, receiving an award for being in the top 20% of schools nationally for progress.
The Priory Ruskin Academy are hosting an SOS Fashion Show on Wednesday 21st March at 7pm. Tickets are available from Student and Main Reception.
The Young Americans returned to Grantham on the 6th and 7th March with a spectacular show bursting with the unique energy and passion that has become synonymous with the music and dance outreach group. The event, held at the Meres in Grantham, brought together 250 students from schools across The Priory Federation of Academies Trust in what was billed as ‘The Priory Trust Celebration’.
The Priory Ruskin Academy will be open tomorrow Monday 5th March 2018.
Further to advice from the multi-agency county group, The Priory Ruskin Academy will remain closed on Friday March 2nd.
After careful consideration regarding the current and worsening weather conditions and taking into account our primary concern for student, staff and parent safety, The Priory Ruskin Academy will be closed on Thursday March 1st.
