Staff and students at The Priory Ruskin Academy have more cause for celebration having received official notification that the Academy is one of the top 100 non-selective state-funded schools in England.
The Priory Ruskin Academy welcomed over 550 primary school students on Thursday (25th February) as they hosted the fourth of the eleven date national ‘Biggest Book Show on Earth Tour’ as part of this year’s World Book Day events.
During February half term, 19 students and 3 members of staff excitedly travelled to New York for the trip of a lifetime, the first time a group had travelled to America from The Priory Ruskin Academy.
During half term students from The Priory Ruskin Academy, along with students from the other Federation Academies, travelled to
Folgaria in the Italian Dolomites, Italy on the annual ski trip.
Students from The Priory Ruskin Academy rose early on Saturday 6th February to take part in The Rotary’s Swimarathon at The Grantham Meres Leisure Centre.
The Priory Ruskin Academy is excited to be one of only eleven venues in the country hosting ‘The Biggest Book Show on Earth Tour’ as part of this year’s World Book Day events.

The Priory Ruskin Academy bid an emotional farewell to Mr Shepherd on Thursday 17th December. During Mr Shepherd’s Headship the Academy has grown from two failing schools into one highly successful Academy with brand new buildings, an excellent Sixth Form, strong exam results and a culture of respect and aspiration.
On Wednesday 16th December 2015, over 100 Year 8 students went to The Guildhall Arts Centre in Grantham to see this years pantomime, Beauty and the Beast.
On Wednesday, 16th December 2015 the Academy held their Annual House Singing competition. The winning House was KNIGHT!!!
