In true Ruskin style, Mr Webb did things a little differently this year as he continued his annual endeavour to raise awareness of, and money for, the Movember Foundation. Rather than growing a moustache like many others across the country, Mr Webb decided to draw attention to the one he already has…by asking students to vote for which colour he should dye it! It came as no surprise that the overwhelming majority went for….BRIGHT PINK!
Ruskin raised well over £1000 for Children in Need in November. Students were invited to pay £1 to wear non-school uniform for the day - always a popular fundraising initiative!
It was incredibly moving to see the entire Academy come together for our Remembrance Service on November 10th. It is not always easy to bring together whole schools at once but there are certain occasions throughout the year when we feel it is essential, and our Remembrance Service in one of the most poignant.
On 6th November 2017, the 800th anniversary of the 1217 Charter of the Forest, the Academy joined thousands of people around the nation who have signed up for the new Charter for Trees, Woods and People. This was initiated in 2015 by the Woodland Trust in response to the crisis facing trees and woods in the UK. The charter will bring new rights for people in the UK to enjoy the benefits of trees, woods and forests.

Staff and students at The Priory Ruskin Academy are once again delighted to be one of the top five schools in Lincolnshire in the government’s performance tables for progress, one of two schools in Grantham to achieve a ‘well above average’ rating.
The Priory Ruskin Academy opened its doors to the public on Friday morning for its annual Macmillan coffee morning. Organised by Knight House. There was an incredible array of cakes and biscuits for sale which raised over £500 for Macmillan.
Year 7 students were treated to a visit from Dan Walker, author of the new Sky Thieves book series, as part of a range of activities and events that took place to mark our first reading week of the academic year.
Ruskin staff and students are delighted to have won the ‘Young Fundraisers of the Year’ award at the St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice Annual Celebration of Achievement Event held in Lincoln last night.

Ruskin is celebrating another excellent GCSE year which looks set to continue the Academy's strong and sustained performance. Ms Wyles, Headteacher said,"The students and staff should be incredibly proud of their achievements which is a result of their hard work, energy and drive."
Ruskin is celebrating its best ever attainment at A level and level 3 vocational courses. At A level the overall pass rate was 100%, with very nearly three quarters at A*-C. The average grade in vocational BTEC courses is the top, Distinction*.
