As an Alliance, we endeavour to support those who are seeking to pursue a career in teaching. In some cases, this involves sampling a day or two in a school to see whether this is a viable career. In other cases, people have already decided that a career in teaching is what they desire and now they need to build a portfolio of evidence of time spent in schools liaising with teachers and students in advance of an application for teaching.

It must be noted that in order to spend time in the Academy you will require a DBS check. This is part of our safeguarding policy. If you are applying to the School Experience Programme, the Academy will process this and the National College will fund it. However, if you are applying directly to the Academy, you will need to process and fund the DBS clearance yourself.
